In Vogue - literally!

We never thought we'd have the pleasure of being in the world's most famous magazine. Ever!

"Hotspots in Berlin, your own vegetables harvesting in a hotel in South Africa, special pools and exciting vintageDarlings of Vogue's address - book, old and new."

"Sarah and Troy Archer roam the world in search of beautiful things. The facebook store is a success with vintage lovers and since the end of March there is also a real store at 8 James Street Burleigh Heads. The best thing about the discovery of The Archers is all stuff that comes with a story. Similarly, Troy's last discovery: an original poster by Helen Dryden in 1922 made for CondeNast. Dryden has spent 13 years at Conde Nast / Vogue and was the highest paid female designer of her time."

So cool hey!

Toys Of The Tide

Recently, and as per usual, we were out looking for cool things in our hood, looking in all the regular spots and finding some great stuff. When, without expectation I stumbled upon an old drawer full of mud-caked toys and general crap.

Hmmm, I thought, what is this that presents itself to me? This is interesting, I thought. So in the car it went and 4 days later I started to pull it apart to see what was there.

Well, to my surprise there was nothing really in there apart from a mess of mud and more mud.

Sometimes though, you CAN polish a turd, or least I thought I had when I picked the best things out and photographed them. Obviously this is the result of the dreaded high water, taking no prisoners in its merciless path and for that reason i'm calling this "Toys of the Tide".

I hope you enjoy the photos.
